San Diego’s DUI CHP cops only busted sixteen drunk drivers as of July 4th’s rising of the sun, attorneys announced today.
Last year, thirty-five San Diego DUI arrests were made by California’s DUI Highway Patrol in the same Fourth of July period in 2011, lawyers are told.
Throughout California CHP DUI cops popped 220 drunk drivers between 6:01 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday, less than half the 443 arrests made in the same time period in 2011, say criminal defense attorneys.
No DUI deaths are reported by San Diego drunk driving law enforcement agencies during the holiday period while 1 died last year.
2 folks died this year in other parts of California, compared to 1 fatality reported in 2011.
