Yesterday the San Diego County DUI Law Center warned motorists about the checkpoint in Poway Friday night. Here’s the results reported by San Diego DUI Attorney Rick Mueller who has this updated checkpoint location site. This free lawyer site allows holiday people to avoid drunk driving roadblocks throughout San Diego County and Southern California.

The Friday Night Poway December 23, 2011 DUI checkpoint was at a remote location: Espola Road and Valle Verde.

1069 vehicles passed through this San Diego county DUI checkpoint;

Eight (8) field sobriety evaluations were conducted on drivers suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
One (1) arrest was made for a minor driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
One (1) arrest was made for possession of a controlled substance,
One (1) arrest was made for possession of marijuana;
Two (2) arrests were made for driving on a suspended driver license while suspended for a DUI conviction;
Four (4) citations were issued for driving on a suspended license, and
five (5) vehicles were towed/stored.

San Diego county DUI saturation patrols were conducted in conjunction with the main Checkpoint Operation.

Four (4) people were arrested for DUI.
Four (4) vehicles were towed/stored.

One of the arrestees was also charged with driving while on probation with a prior conviction of dui.
