San Diego DUI Checkpoint Newsflash!
500 North Highway 101, Solana Beach is the location for Sunday May 27th’s North Coastal San Diego California DUI Checkpoint. Avoid that area between 7:30 pm and 2:30 a.m., DUI attorneys providing current locations warn.
Don’t forget tonight’s San Diego PD DUI Checkpoint in Pacific Beach!
So far, 2 of the major San Diego County DUI Checkpoints have not been fruitful for drunk driving cops. Only 1 DUI arrest was made between 2 drunk driving checkpoints in San Diego County, say lawyers.
1. On May 25, 2012, from 8:00 PM to 1:30 AM, Lemon Grove area San Diego County Sheriff’s Deputies staged a DUI checkpoint near 7900 Broadway. What a waste of taxpayer money. This drunk driving roadblock was manned by 15 highly paid DUI sheriff deputies. Overzealous MADD volunteers assisted at the checkpoint by handing out DUI information to drivers. 584 vehicle drivers were unnecessarily delayed by this San Diego DUI checkpoint but there were no DUI arrests.
53 vehicles’ drivers’ personal liberties were further infringed upon as they were unnecessarily directed into a secondary inspection area for harassment as so-called “further (DUI) evaluation.” So 53 hunches all meant nothing?! Not one drunk driver out of 584!
2. On May 25, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. till 1:00 a.m., at 100 W. Mission Road, San Marcos, DUI donut-eating deputies trapped motorists via another wasteful DUI checkpoint in the City of San Marcos.
