Friday, April 18, 2014 7:00 p.m. to Saturday, April 19, 2014 3:00 a.m., San Diego DUI deputies and California DUI officers from the AVOID the 16 Taskforce will stage a San Diego California DUI sobriety and driver’s license checkpoint at a secret location in the City of San Marcos, attorneys say.

San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is well aware of the communities concern for persons Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and/or Drugs. The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department took a major countermeasure by implementing a San Diego California DUI Checkpoint friday night. The primary intent of the checkpoint is to educate the public of the dangers associated with drinking and driving; additionally, the San Diego California DUI roadblock serves as a deterrent to potentially impaired drivers. Finally, this San Diego California drunk driving checkpoint will provide an important governmental service by promoting public safety. The focus of the San Diego California DUI operation is the apprehension of suspects who are determined to be operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and/or under the influence of drugs or driving while unlicensed/suspended.
Headed by Sgt. Cheever, this San Diego California DUI checkpoint is funded by a grant through the California Office of Traffic Safety. The Office of Traffic Safety and San Diego California DUI law enforcement urge drivers to “Report Drunk Drivers.”
