San Diego Police Department has California DUI checkpoints on Friday, July 1, 2011, and Saturday, July 2, 2011 at undisclosed locations between the hours of 9:00 p.
m. and 4:00 a.m., lawyers just learned. The locations will be updated here.
San Diego DUI officers will be checking drivers for signs of alcohol and/or drugs.
If officers suspect that a driver has been drinking or is impaired, they will ask to conduct a field sobriety test.
These are voluntary and do not have to be done, according to attorneys.
You must only do a breath or blood test.
San Diego DUI offenders face possible jail time, vehicle storage fees, license suspension, insurance rate increases, along with fines, fees, DUI classes, other costs of over $10,000.
