San Diego DUI Law Center

San Diego County DUI Law Center’s drunk driving attorney Rick Mueller announces the San Diego Sheriff’s Department family for the Walk Like MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) in honor of fallen San Diego Deputy Ken Collier.

He made the ultimate sacrifice on February 28, 2010 when he was killed in a collision while
trying to stop a drunk driver going the wrong way on Highway 52 in Santee.

So far this year, deputies have arrested more than 1,400 people for DUI. There have been 299 car collisions
where alcohol was determined to be a primary factor in the collisions. Among these collisions, one resulted in death and 119 others were injured. These 2013 numbers are only for contract cities within the jurisdiction of the Sheriff’s Department (Encinitas, Imperial Beach, Lemon Grove, Poway, San Marcos, Santee and Vista).
