Here’s what was just released by the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department DUI Detail:
Upcoming Labor Day (September 1st) marks the unofficial end of summer. To make money for the county, The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department will be out in force looking for drunk and San Diego DUI drivers. San Diego Deputies will be taking part in San Diego DUI checkpoints on the following dates leading up to Labor Day:
• Friday, August 15th
Santee and Vista
• Friday, August 22nd
Santee and San Marcos
• Saturday, August 23rd
• Friday, August 29th
Imperial Beach and Lemon Grove
• Sunday, August 31st
San Diego DUI Deputies will work with other law enforcement agencies during some of the San Diego DUI checkpoints. The San Diego Sheriff’s Department will also be conducting increased San Diego DUI patrols around the Del Mar Fairgrounds between August 15th and September 1st.
“There’s no excuse for drunk driving in San Diego County,” said San Diego Sheriff Bill Gore. “There will be zero tolerance for anyone caught driving drunk, especially during the Labor Day Weekend. Remember: DRIVE SOBER OR GET PULLED OVER!” Of course there must be a valid reason for the stop or contact, right San Diego Sheriff?
